Prayer that changes circumstances
Prayer is an energy of a special order: it is a merger of two actions: our physical action and God’s spiritual action. As such, it is both in the body and out of the body; beyond even this world.
When we are in despair, prayer becomes the energy of the spirit that breaks the tight ring of difficult circumstances and flows to the Creator of the Universe, because there are no more people around us who can help us.
Oh, this gift of prayer! In its impulse to the beloved God the Father, it has no boundaries or images; through it we enter into another way of being, which is beyond logical reasoning, but qualitatively superior to this world.
Not drunken imagination, nor intellectual philosophy, but the soul seeks ways where there are no ways. A certain inner intuition moves it, the soul, bound by invisible chains of habits and circumstances of our life, to another dimension of human existence in this world, to the Divine Light which we cannot see, but our hearts feel it and smolder in bliss in God, through prayer.
